The IHM 1st Team played a friendly fixture against a local Bolton Wanderers FC youth side. IHM were 3-0 up by the half time whistle, yet this competitive game ended 3-3.

One thing that stood out was the performance given by IHM player, Aykhan. He certainly attracted all the right kind of attention with this beautifully taken strike that gave the BWFC keeper no chance at all. We wish Aykhan all the very best and hope that he can maintain this excellent form throughout the season.

Match Report:

IHM started the game well. However, against the run of play, Bolton sneaked the early lead with a well-worked goal on the counter attack.

Just before halftime from a corner, Jonathan delivered a great ball to Aykhan at the back post who converted it with a well-placed header.

After a pep-talk at halftime, IHM started the second half as the better team and from a moment of brilliance from Aykhan from the left wing, he cut inside and hit a forty-yard strike into the far top corner. Potentially goal of the season.

A few minutes after that, Jonathan scored from a second phase of play from a corner ball.

Very comfortable in the game, IHM conceded a sloppy set-play from distance which give Bolton the motivation to get back in the game.

The final score was 3-3 and this is probably a fair result.
