Player of the month Arshia (1)
Well done to Arshia Jahromi who has earned the title of “Player of the Month” for October in Manchester.

This is Arshia’s second academic year with IHM Football Academy, but the first time that he has achieved this award. And its well deserved.

Since the start of this season, Arshia has shown how committed and focused he is. He was clearly determined to start the season well and has maintained that commitment. Arshia has shown himself as one of the squad’s key central midfielders this season so far. Especially during October, where the side have had some challenging games.

Arshia has been instrumental in linking play, helped by his calm manner and simple, but effective play. Keeping his touches on the ball to a minimum, Arshia can quickly spread the play and keep the flow of the game working well for the team.

Head of Football, Sam, said of Arshia:

“ I’m delighted that he’s been nominated as “Player of the Month”, this month, so well deserved. Arshia can often go unseen during games because of how he can keep the play simple and the basics he has are so good.

Many of the other players and onlookers would miss the tremendous impact that simple two and three touch play has in the middle of the park. In the past month this has really made the difference in the team’s performance. Being able to move the ball quickly and spread the play has been asset.

Arshia is also such a great and dedicated young man off the pitch and a great member of the group. Well done to him. He can hopefully really build on this recognition as we go into the next couple of months.”

Arshia was a real factor in the last fixture for IHM Football Academy, where they hit 13 goals past an overwhelmed Macclesfield side. In that game he also managed to get on the scoresheet for the first time this season, but was key to setting up a number of the goals with his quick forward paly.

Congratulations to Arshia, keep up the great work and commitment to the programme.
