Farid El Karfa is one of the lead coaches at IHM Football Academy. As a UEFA A qualified coach with over 16 years of experience, Farid is perfectly placed to work with, mentor and develop the international players at our academy.
Farid started his coaching journey in Bermuda, working with the academy of FC Valencia, as well as working in the Bermuda Premier division. Whilst working in Bermuda Farid was nominated by his club and players three years in a row as “Coach of the Year”.
Just over 3 Years ago Farid sought to further advance his football career and took up a role in the UK with the England national “C Team” as a talent identification scout, looking for future stars of the game. When he moved to the UK he also took up a role with professional club Oldham Athletic, enhancing his coaching ability in the UK game.
Farid has now been with IHM Football Academy since the 2022/2023 season and has started this season strong in terms of leadership with the players. With his experience around the world and in the professional game, Farid is a fantastic asset to the programme.

“It’s great to have Farid here as part of the team in Manchester. He brings with him some great experience, which he shares with the players. He also brings an understanding of the specific issues inherent in travelling overseas to follow your love of the game. This all means that he can relate really well to the players who choose to enrol on the programme who come from all over the world. The lads enjoy the sessions with Farid and get so much from them.”
