five young footballers wearing their medals having won a school tournament

Yesterday, Wednesday 3 April, two teams from IHM Football Academy took part in a 7 a-side mini-tournament organised by Abbey College Manchester. ACM is a high achieving independent school, offering GCSE, A level and International Foundation Programme courses for students aged 14 years and above, located just a 10 minute walk from International House Manchester.  IHM have been working with ACM since September last year, to offer football academy programmes to their students. There are currently 6 Abbey College Manchester students enrolled at the IHM football academy, training every afternoon from Monday to Friday.

The tournament was also attended by teams from Abbey College Cambridge and all the teams were divided into 2 groups. IHM Head Coach, Matt, ran the tournament and organised the top two teams from each group to play in knock out semi-finals. One of the IHM teams reached the finals and won emphatically in a 6-1 shower of goals.
