How do I join IHM Football Academy?
Can I trial with your academy? / Can you find me a club?
Can I be sponsored / have a free place?

IHM Football Academy is a private fee paying accredited school. Our professional football academy is only available to our full-time enrolled students.
At the top you will see some questions that we often get asked at IHM Football Academy.
Here we answer those questions for you:

How do I join you?

  • If you are under 18 years of age, you will need to ask one of your parents to contact the IHM Director, Peter on: [email protected]
We can only communicate with your mother/father/guardian about our courses.
  • It is important that you understand exactly which course you wish to apply for. There is a broad choice.
  • To help you choose the best course for you, please download the IHM brochure here.
  • NB – Take a look at our Price List here.

  • After reading the brochure and choosing your course you may have some questions.
  • However, we also like to interview you (with your mother/father/guardian) and so please now book a Skype with Peter here.

  • Once this is all complete and you are ready to book, you need to complete our online booking form here.
  • NB – you must also email Peter a copy of your passport photo page

  • We will then process your booking and send you an invoice for the total fees.
  • Once you have paid us a 15% deposit, we will send you your “Letter of Acceptance”.
  • If you need a visa to study in the UK, Peter will help you to apply at this stage

Can I trial with you? / Can you find me a club?

  • At IHM we offer many regular opportunities for our full-time enrolled student players, to allow them show case their football talent in front of pro-club scouts and coaches. However, these opportunities are only for our enrolled players.
  • We DO NOT provide football trials for anyone else.

Can I be sponsored / have a free place?

  • We CANNOT provide free places. We are a private fee paying school. Sadly, we can only offer our services to those who are able to pay the fees.
  • To apply for a partial scholarship your father/mother/guardian will need to send Peter by email: [email protected]
    1. a copy of your latest school report
    2. a written reference from your most recent football coach or school sport teacher
    3. a brief Soccer CV: setting out your name, date of birth, nationality, height, weight, favourite playing position, any school teams or clubs that you have played for, any awards you have won or tournaments you have played in
    4. a link to a video clip of you playing in a competitive match. We will then evaluate your performance and we will inform you of our decision

When enrolling and attending the IH Manchester football programme, you are enrolling on an educational study programme as a full time student. Therefore, any students who are attending the programme from outside of the EU and have been granted leave to enter the UK by a student visa are not allowed to access public funds nor are they allowed to work in the UK, either paid or unpaid.
Working would include playing professional football for a club in the UK or amateur football for an amateur FA registered football club. Throughout the programme IH Manchester arrange a variety of experiences for students to attend scouting opportunities with clubs in the UK. Should a non EU visa student be successful in being scouted by a professional or amateur club in the UK, it would be the responsibility of the club and the individual player to ensure that they have secured the relevant UK work visa and permissions for this. We also only recommend doing this following the successful completion of the student’s course of study and with full compliance with the terms of their UK student visa.
