Information About Manchester

Student Health

We believe that safety and enjoyment are equally important when studying at International House Manchester. We therefore strongly recommend that you have adequate personal insurance in place before starting your course.
If you are in the process of applying for a course, or have already secured your place, you should consider what type of insurance you need, in case the worst should happen. IHM does not provide or arrange personal insurance for students. Students should make sure that they have their own insurance in place before they travel to Manchester to start their course.
If you have a small health problem, you can see a doctor at the walk-in centre. These centres deal with:
• Minor illnesses
• Minor injuries
• Emergency contraception
You don’t need an appointment – just go to reception, give your details and a doctor will see you when they are available.
