What a way to celebrate your 18th birthday! In the middle of a national lock down during a global pandemic!
But thanks to the wonderful Sonola family who are hosting IHM Football Academy student player, Neddie, from Australia, the big day didn’t go unnoticed. Neddie was given presents and the family held a birthday party for him. They even made him a cake with the badge of his beloved Chelsea FC on the top.
IHM Football Academy is a football boarding school for international students. All students and players who are under 18 years of age are placed with approved homestay hosts. At IHM we feel that the level of care available and the rapport that develops between the host and the student’s parents is by far the best accommodation option for our junior students. It’s a “home from home” scenario.
The Sonola family are also hosting Valeria from Colombia during these difficult times and her parents are relived that she’s in such a caring family environment right now. Both Neddie and Valeria are continuing their IH Manchester courses online via Zoom.
