Another Victory for IH Manchester!

Friendly match
Yesterday the squad took on a visiting team from Perth, Australia. The South Coast Baptist College. The team are currently on a UK tour. Prior to the game, both IHM and the touring group were involved in coaching sessions and testing at our 10 Acres Lane training ground, led by IHM Head Coach, Matt Lowe.

Against a backdrop of wet and windy weather, the game kicked off with IHM on the back foot, and within the first two minutes a mistake at the back let the visitors go 1-0 in front. The visitors were on top and pressing. However, IHM still appeared to be the strongest team.

IHM soon settled into the fast paced game and 15 minutes in, very quickly took control. Unaiz took a half chance and opened the IHM scoresheet to level the game. As the weather worsened, IHM took total control of the game with Unaiz scoring again to mak it 2-1 soon after.

For the rest of the game the visitors continued to threaten, but the IHM back line, led by Willian, were able to cope with the pressure, and so, close to the end of the game Unaiz completed his hat trick to make it 3-1! This maintains the academy’s unbroken winning record.
