Meet Adam, he came from his home country of Sweden to take part in our Showcase Event in April 2018.

He really enjoyed the day. You can see exactly what he did here.

However, as a result of his performance on the day, Adam was invited to take part in two sessions at the Manchester United training ground, Carrington, with the Emerging Talent squads.

The emerging talent squads are the bridge between the full academy sides and grass roots football. The squads currently contain players from the local area who are not quite at the level for the full academy but have potential and are standing out in the grass roots system. Over the past 12 months around 14 players have moved to signing contracts with the full academy and the ET group prepare players for that transition.

IHM Director of Football, Mick Brennan, went with Adam to the Manchester United ET training sessions:

“Adam did outstanding in my opinion in the session, not only did he get the coaches to notice him, but other parents were asking who he was. To come in and make an impact like that in a session of that standard is fantastic. Adam looked relaxed and confident. His ability came out in most of the session activities and to be told he would be invited back to the ET squad should he be in the UK is a great achievement. I saw Adam, and followed him with the camera, in the showcase event. At the showcase he did well, however he really stood out at the Manchester united session, showing me that he has gone home, worked hard and prepared for the session. Adam should be very proud of the evening and comments from someone who is very influential in the game.”

The next IHM Showcase Event is on Wednesday 17 April. Sign Up Now.
