Throughout the season IHM invite a number of guest to the academy to give opportunities to our players. We are keen and passionate about ensuring all our students and players receive opportunities in both football and their academic progressions to set them for later life.
Soccer Assist is one of the major partners who visit the academy on a regular basis and monitor the progress of the players through the media and recent virtual showcase events. Earlier this season Tyrelle, from Soccer Assist, visited both Manchester and Ellesmere to talk to the players about how they can help in that next step to the US.
The presentation from Tyrelle is a fantastic insight into the US opportunities and how all our players can gain a path to the US, and Tyrelle is perfectly placed to mentor them having gone through the whole experience himself and successfully becoming a pro player following on from that.
A number of IHM players have progressed onto the US route with Tyrelle and we have a number currently in the system looking to progress on in the coming year following a successful season on the academy.
We caught up with Tyrelle via an online interview to see what the benefits of the US route are for our players and to find out more about the programme.
