With only 1 week gone since the football showcase event in Manchester we have our first success story as Benjamin Hjun Woong Seol signs for Radcliffe Borough FC in the Evostick North league.
Ben has been training all season with the football academy in Manchester, and has been showing promise in all training sessions and games. During the august trials Ben was highlighted by a few clubs who were in attendance, including our own academy coach Jon Macken. During the past few months, Jon has been given the managers role at Radcliffe Borough and has been keeping a keen eye on Ben during the academy training sessions. Jon & Frank had been in discussions with Ben about signing for the non-league side, however following on from his performance Ben signed and played for the first team that very night of the showcase. What a great result!
Ben continues to train daily with our academy in Manchester and is a regular now in the reserves at Radcliffe, stepping up on occasions to the first team.
We all wish Ben the best of luck in his first steps into the professional game in the UK. A great achievement.
Following the showcase event we still have 3 further players who clubs are talking about, so watch out for our next success story.
